The Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar, which has 11 locations in shopping centers throughout SoCal, including one in Temecula, is opening their first San Diego County restaurant in the Westfield Mission Valley mall.

Set to launch by June, the 7,900 square foot family-run restaurant will occupy the space vacated by Chevy's and includes a 1,200 square foot dog-friendly patio. The Rocky Mountain-inspired decor features fireplaces, Aspen log chandeliers and other rustic touches. It will be open daily for lunch and dinner, plus weekend brunch.

The kitchen serves brick oven pizza, burgers, wok-fired dishes and more; they're also known for their cocktail and draft beer program, which includes a house Pale Ale and IPA which is brewed for the restaurant by Firestone Walker Brewing Co.
