Fat Tuesday Beer Dinner; Valentine's Pop-Up

HILLCREST— Local Habit's chef, Nick Brune, is a Louisiana native, so you can be pretty sure you'll get the real deal at their upcoming Fat Tuesday Brewmaster's Dinner, a collaboration with Monkey Paw Pub and Brewery. The brewery's founder, Scot Blair, will likely be in the house to enjoy his beers with six courses of Creole-inspired dishes, including alligator meatballs and venison roast with creamy grits. LA JOLLA— The roving pop-up, Plancha Baja Med, is making its next stop in La Jolla. Plancha's chef, Chad White, is doing a three night residency at the Coffee Cup Cafe starting on Valentine's Day.
