Noodle Etc. Opens in Hillcrest; New Korean for Convoy

HILLCREST Kip's Cafe on 4th Avenue moved to a location in El Cajon last fall, and now its owners have just reopened the Hillcrest space with a refreshed look and a new concept called Noodle Etc. Owner Wing Tam says that Noodle Etc. will focus on on Asian-style small plates, ramen and their bar offerings, from cocktails to beer, wine and sake. The eatery's open until 2 a.m. nightly. KEARNY MESA — Eater friend mmm-yoso shared word about a new all-you-can-eat place, Taegukgi Korean BBQ House, coming to 7655 Clairemont Mesa Boulvard. It'll share a parking lot with Zion Market when the market shuts down its Mercury Street location and moves there by this summer. [mmm-yoso]

DOWNTOWN — Speaking of markets, Eater checked in with Jimbo's Naturally and confirmed that a summer launch date is projected for the grocery's new 28,000 square feet location in Westfield Horton Plaza. [EaterWire]
