GASLAMP — A recently procured full liquor license means there's a fun new list of cocktails at Antonio Friscia's Gaijin Noodle + Sake House, curated by Jen Queen, Lucien Conner and Ian Ward (the same cocktail collective also designed the new drinks for Puesto in La Jolla). Among the stronger proof drinks making their debut: vodka that's house-infused with Green Tea, Asian Pear or Buddha's Hand citron and a julep that muddles bourbon and sugar with Japanese shiso instead of mint. MISSION BAY — The Shores' Amy DiBiase(Laurel, Roseville) is leaving the La Jolla restaurant and heading down the coast to take over the kitchen at Paradise Point Resort & Spa's Baleen. She'll help to change up the menu, and the restaurant's interior is getting a refresh too. This move is a return engagement; DiBiase was Baleen's chef de cuisine from 2006 to 2008. [FoodbuzzSD]
CHULA VISTA — Tuesday night's ChefCause, a multi-course dinner cooked by some of San Diego and Baja's best chefs to help out a colleague who's battling cancer, has unfortunately been postponed. The organizers tell Eater that they need more time to coordinate the event; they're reconvening with the participating chefs and the current plan is to move the fundraiser to March. We'll keep you posted. [EaterWire]
