Hooters is planning to open a new outpost of their "delightfully tacky yet unrefined" chain in San Marcos, says the U-T. A rep for the company tells Eater that they'll be shuttering their Rancho Bernardo location this month to focus on the San Marcos eatery. In other Hooters news, some whispers via the tipline indicate that their downtown location, at the corner of 4th and Market, may also be on the way out to make room for a project by partners behind the East Village's Bootlegger.
