The Flight Path Wine Bar Gears Up for Landing

Beer drinkers at the new Stone Company Store will soon be able to wave at their wine-loving friends when The Flight Path opens across the way in the historic McClintock Warehouse building near the Museum of Contemporary Art Downtown.

Owner Tammy Hoops is transitioning from wine sales into her dream job of running a wine bar and cafe. Due to touch down mid-December, The Flight Path will be a 41-seat mid-century modern-influenced space with a white-on-white design and sleek Italian furnishings, with a few airline-themed touches that reference the bar's name.

The bar will stock least 75 different bottles, with 25 wines available by the glass; the list will change regularly to focus on global wine regions and underrepresented varietals, which will pair with the small plates menu. While The Flight Path won't be able to retail wine initially, Hoops hopes to add that piece in the future and offer a monthly wine club.
