Farm. Fish. Fork. Truck Rolls Into San Diego Next Week

Say hello to Farm. Fish. Fork., a new food truck that's scheduled to hit the streets on Wednesday, November 13 with a debut gig at Thorn St. Brewery.

Founded by Joe Carlson, a Marine Corps vet and chef who has logged hours in the kitchens of Del Mar's Cafe Secret and Solace & the Moonlight Lounge in Encinitas, the truck's menu is locally-sourced. The beer-braised pork comes from Julian's Cook Pigs Ranch and Suzie's Farm grows the vegetables in the slaw that tops it. There's also a lobster sandwich, a lamb burger, local yellowtail tartare and a prime rib sandwich on a house made roll.

Carlson launched a Kickstarter campaign this summer, but canceled it before completion when he received enough outside funding to buy a truck. Farm. Fish. Fork. plans to make the rounds at local breweries and set up a weekly schedule of stops that'll include the Wednesday Fishermen's Farmers Market in Point Loma.
