Green Flash To Build New Restaurant & Tasting Room

New, 1 comment

San Diego's beer and food landscape is about to add another major player. Eater has learned that Green Flash Brewing Company intends to open a new restaurant that focuses on beer and food pairings, perhaps buoyed by the popularity of its Supper Club series, which closes out the calendar year with a six course dinner on December 16 cooked by Vince Marsaglia (Port Brewing/The Lost Abbey), Nate Soroko (Toronado) and Samantha Parker (Flying Pig), with beer pairings provided by Dave Adams, the brewery's director of education.

Green Flash has been scouting for locations for a few months, and though a spot hasn't yet been secured, a rep says that it will be south of their current Mira Mesa tasting room and production facility.

In addition to the restaurant, the space will also feature a tasting room and serve to expand the brewery's barrel aged program, functioning as the packaging hall for the bottles that will soon hold the Green Flash's barrel aged brews, including Little Freak, Super Freak and Flanders Drive.

The current timeline for the project points towards a late 2014 launch.
