Happy Hour Gives Back; More Pizza; Fall Menus

LITTLE ITALYCraft & Commerce just launched its Happy (To Help) Hour, which will see 10% of food sales from their weekday 3 to 7 p.m. happy hour go to a different local organization each month. This month, it's Beyond the Crossfire, a documentary project with a Kickstarter campaign, to be produced students at Chula Vista's High Tech High. [EaterWire]

CARLSBAD— Yet more pizza is coming. A tipster sent in word about another quick-service pizza concept planting its first flag in the area. Blaze Pizza is due to drop into the Carlsbad Premium Outlets by the end of the year. [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWN— The kitchen at Bang Bang (of Ryan Gosling bathroom fame) has launched new menus for the season, which include kabocha squash and chicken dumpling soup and a lemongrass ice cream served with steamed coconut curry sponge cake. On the sushi side, rolls entitled Cobra Kai, a tempura roll with ahi, poblano, and avocado and GoGo, a baked roll with salmon and crab, topped with bay scallops, make their debut. [EaterWire]
