Cohn's Launch ZIGZAG Pizza Pie

The Cohn Restaurant Group's latest contribution to the food scene has opened in Oceanside. The classic rock-themed ZIGZAG Pizza Pie, located around the corner from the CRG's 333 Pacific, features a walk-up pizza bar where you can order from nine specialty pies - the Stairway to Heaven comes topped with herb chicken, mozzarella, carrots, green onions and peanut sauce - or "go your own way" and customize with a variety of ingredients.

ZIGZAG Pizza Pie also does signature salads, from a Caesar salad made with kale to the Smoke on the Water, a twist on Cobb salad with blackened shrimp and poblano buttermilk dressing. Their beverage coolers stock more than 100 bottled beers and 50 wines, which can be opened on-site or purchased to-go.

The 60-seat eatery is a return to the Cohn Restaurant Group's roots in fast-casual dining; though they now own 15 upscale restaurants, their first was a '50-style hamburger joint. With ZIGZAG, they may have a quick-service concept that's made to multiply.
