Asian Tasting Menu; Green Flash Smokeout; Beer Cocktail Brawl

HILLCREST— The Snooty Asian is running a Fall Tasting Event from 4 to 10 p.m. this Friday and Saturday. If you haven't been in yet, it's a chance to sample the pan-Asian menu with $5 samplers of dishes from different regions; for example, choose Malaysia and get tastes of spicy stir-fried noodles and hot and sour soup. NORTH PARK— Green Flash Brewing Co. is teaming up with newly-Kickstarted The Heart & Trotter for one hell of a Beer Week kick-off at Carnitas Snack Shack. The 5th Annual Green Flash Smokeout on Sunday, November 3 from 12 to 4 p.m. will feature three butchering demos, free hors d' oeuvres and a menu that includes goat tacos, a pork plate, braised lamb and mussels with appropriate Green Flash beer pairings. During Beer Week, they're staging a beer cocktail brawl at Seven Grand on Tuesday, November 5 at 6 p.m. Tag Team will challenge a brewer and a bartender to concoct a cocktail from a beer and a chosen spirit, all for your drinking pleasure.
