ENCINITAS— East coast seafood experts Lobster West launch a new happy hour today that'll run from 3 to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday. In addition to $2 off beer and wine, the deals include $1 off their soups, mini lobster and crab rolls for $3.95 and a less than $8 "bucket o'clams". [EaterWire]

KEARNY MESA— Joining the new Spotted Cow Vietnamese Kitchen in Zion Market's food court is Cocohodo Walnut Pastry Cafe. Kirbie's Cravings files an early report from the cafe, which serves tea, coffee, shaved ice and a walnut-shaped pastry filled with nuts and red bean. [KC]

COLLEGE AREA— The Daily Aztec says that San Diego State students are about to get an influx of pizza and beer. Oggi's Pizza & Brewing Company will open a new sports bar in the university's student union called Oggi's Pizza Express. Due in January, it'll feature craft beer, "indoor and patio dining and have a live music stage". [DA]
