The Haven's bringing craft beer and pizza to Kensington, and now another neighborhood is poised to get its own beer and pizza joint. The company of folks behind Pizza Nova, which has locations in Point Loma, Solana Beach and San Marcos, is switching gears but staying within their wheelhouse with a new concept called Best Pizza & Brew.
Founder Charlie Muirhead told Eater that he and his partners hope to multiply this iteration of their brand; their first outpost is projected to open in Mira Mesa (9172 Mira Mesa Blvd.) within the next two weeks.
Muirhead described Brew Pizza & Brew's crust as a little thinner than Pizza Nova, more akin to a NY-style pie; it'll be sold by the slice or a full 18" round. There will be 16 taps of craft beer and they'll be open for lunch and dinner. Though there's seating for 70, including a patio that's under construction, the restaurant's hoping they'll do brisk delivery business too, via their cherry red pizzamobile.
