If you have any semblance of a sweet tooth, this is relevant to your interests. North Park's new Swoon Dessert Bar (see Eater's preview here) has announced their grand opening for Tuesday, February 12th.
On their debut seasonal menu for winter, the sweet list includes a cinnamon cake with bourbon butterscotch ice cream and orange rosemary sorbet; on the savory side, there's tumeric biscuits with ginger butter and caraway gougeres with pastrami.
Weekends will bring ever-changing dessert flights, plated tableside by Chef Ian Smith. The $16 prix fixe menu for February 15 to 17 includes an amuse bouche, a lemon curd-filled pastry puff, apple bread pudding and an ice cream made with Port Brewing Company's Santa's Little Helper, a Russian Imperial Stout.
Smith told Eater that Swoon will also be taking reservations for two seatings on Valentine's Day, and featuring a special menu for the occasion.
