Saltbox's Taco Tuesdays; A.R. Valentien Chef News

DOWNTOWN Saltbox recently transformed their downstairs bar area into a more comfortable space, adding large communal tables and extra seats. And their chef, Simon Dolinky, just launched his version of Taco Tuesday, a whole fish dinner that feeds two; it comes with all the fixings (handmade tortillas, beans, orange-cumin slaw, avocado, and two salsas) for just $15. Valentien: with current Exec Chef Kara Snyder moving on to Tender Greens and her sous chef, Kelli Crosson, named as her successor, Chef Andy Halvorsen (formerly with Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens) now moves from The Grill at The Lodge at Torrey Pines to be her second in command.
