Multiple tipsters let Eater know that Smashburger's Hillcrest location, which opened last February, has closed, which might be news to Smashburger headquarters. We put in a call to their Denver-based main office and no one we were able to speak to had any knowledge of the franchise's status, though their website's store locater does not currently include the 5th Avenue outpost.
