Noble Experiment's Anthony Schmidt Steps Back

New, 1 comment

Eater has confirmed that Anthony Schmidt, a two-time winner of the annual Bartender Challenge, is stepping down as the general manager of Noble Experiment. He will contribute to the beverage program at Consortium Holdings' newest project, Polite Provisions and focus on writing about general bar topics for the company's website. Schmidt may still find himself behind the bar occasionally, but he'll split his time between the two spots.

Arsalun Tafazoli, Consortium Holdings co-founder, said of Schmidt, "He and Erick Castro (Polite Provisions) have an awesome rapport, and I think they can do great things collectively. At this point we all think his time can be better spent focusing on bigger picture issues, then the nitty gritty grind of daily management."

The group is projecting a mid-February launch for both Polite Provisions and its neighbor, Soda & Swine.
