Exec Chef Jacob Rodriguez has given his notice at the Kettner Street restaurant; his last day will be December 31. An accomplished charcuterie maker and longtime sous chef at Cafe Chloe, he helped to open the year-old restaurant and took over The Lion's Share kitchen when founding chef Lhasa Landry vacated the position this past summer. Here's the sad news for San Diego — Rodriguez tells Eater that he won't be staying; he'll travel to Portland before settling into the Los Angeles area to seek out opportunities there.
