Farm House Cafe Fundraiser; Gingham Sells

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS Tonight at Adams Avenue's Farm House Cafe, Chef Olivier Bioteau is hosting a toy drive and fundraiser for a local firefighter's son with neurological disabilities; he'll have firefighters helping to cook and serve a $50 four course meal (smoked pumpkin soup, pork osso bucco). DOWNTOWN— Chef Chad White tells Eater that starting in 2013, he'll begin weekly residencies for his Plancha Baja Med pop-up at two area restaurants. Mondays will find him at the Gaslamp's Analog Bar and on Sundays he'll temp at Javier Plascencia's Romesco in Bonita. Meanwhile, there are still seats for his stint tomorrow at Carnitas Snack Shack. LA MESASan Diego Magazine reports that the Cohn Restaurant Group has all but sealed the deal on purchasing Brian Malarkey's Gingham from the partners of Enlightened Hospitality.
