Just in case the End of Days really does come on December 21, Saltbox's Chef Simon Dolinky is preparing to usher you off this earth with a blowout of a last supper.
The Midwest-born chef is putting together an over-the-top five course meal with some of his ultimate food favorites — fried chicken, potatoes, pork belly, sea urchin. He's a big proponent of local agriculture too, so expect to see a lot of seasonal produce from farms like Suzie's Farm, which is only about a 15 minute drive from Saltbox's kitchen at downtown's Hotel Palomar.
The dinner will be $60 (money's no object if it's the end of the world, right?) with an optional cocktail and wine pairing from the Saltbox mixologist team. To reserve a table, call 619-515-3029.
