Local Whole Foods Markets To Get Restaurants

Eater San Diego is hearing that two local Whole Foods Markets, the Hillcrest and La Jolla locations, will soon be starting construction on new in-store bar and restaurants. Hillcrest's due to begin their expansion in January and will reconfigure their current eating space and prepared food area to accommodate seating for at least 50, and install a bar with 35 craft beer taps. The eatery is projected to open in March, and bar and restaurant will keep the same hours as the store, staying open until 10 p.m.
