It's been a long time coming, 11 years in fact, but the day of reckoning is here. It's finally time to taste all the Belgian-inspired beers in Stone Brewing Co.'s Vertical Epic Ale Series. Tomorrow at theStone Epic Festival (held at their Escondido bistro) you'll have the chance to taste all 11 beers — including the just-released 12.12.12, paired with dishes from Chef Alex Carballo and sample special cask and barrel-aged versions of some Vertical Epic brews.

In advance of the event, Stone Brewing Co. CEO Greg Koch invited some of the nation's top beer literati to private tasting to see how the beers in the series have held up to age (the first beer was released on 2.2.02). Check out the video after the jump and spot a cameo by Lee Chase, former Stone Brewing Co. head brewer who runs Tiger!Tiger! and Blind Lady Ale House and brews for his own Automatic Brewing Co.
