Chef Chad White(Roseville, Gabardine) has moved on from Counterpoint after taking over the Golden Hill restaurant's kitchen this past summer. White, who was one of the four local chefs chosen to cook amongst some of the nation's best at last weekend's Save a Child's Heart Gala, will remain a consulting partner at North Park's Sea Rocket Bistro, but tells Eater that he's gearing up to launch a pop-up dinner concept by late December.
With a culinary theme based around his recent travels, White hopes to base his pop-ups at a space in Barrio Logan and plans to keep the dinners in the $50 range. In the meantime, he'll continue to cater under his EGO Culinary Trends moniker and is prepping to participate in the next Cooks Confab event.
UPDATE: White has announced that the first event for his Plancha Baja Med pop-up will be December 4 at Carnitas Snack Shack.
