Cooks Confab Update

Brit-born Andrew Spurgin, chef-captain of the Cooks Confab, just announced the farm-to-table chef crew's next gig — an English Christmas dinner (think Victoriana-meets-Escoffier), that'll be December 16 at East Village's Oliver & Rose. Spurgin encourages guests to dress in costume and says the dinner menu's a throwback to old guard faves: Welsh Rarebit, something in aspic from A.R.Valentien's Jeff Jackson, Yorkshire pudding and standing rib roast carved tableside, and period cocktails from Pick & Rocks.
