With the highly-anticipated public debut of The Crack Shack in Little Italy just hours away (it's scheduled to be up and running on Wednesday, November 11 and open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily), please familiarize yourself with the 4,000-square-foot space and pick out your perch at the all-outdoor eatery, where each table holds six-packs of sauces, ranging from curry mustard to Baja hot sauce and house 'cracksup', to allow for choose-your-own-condiment adventures.
Here's a first peek at the full menu from the Juniper & Ivy gang's casual chicken and egg concept; some items, including the breakfast sandwiches and the Anti-Salad Power Bowl piled with smoked chicken, a soft egg, heritage grains and salsa, are available all day, while the rest of the menu will kick in after 10:30 a.m.
Signature sandwiches include the Coop Deville, fried organic chicken with pickled chilies, lime mayo and Napa cabbage, and a singular seafood option, wood fired albacore, seared just right, with passion fruit aioli and black kale on sprouted grain brioche. From the 'Other Cluck' section, there are kimchi-seasoned deviled eggs, chicken drumsticks fashioned into poultry lollipops and dusted with spiced gremolata and addictive fried chicken oysters, served in 3/4-pound portions. Beverages include PepsiCo's new fountain drink line 'Stubborn Soda', craft beer and wine on tap and craft cocktails.
